SW Spotlight: Dr. Siretta Williams

Senior pastor of Lion of the Tribe of Judah Ministries and founder of Breaking the Silence Jacksonville (BTSJ) Dr. Sirretta Williams, mother of Laveranues Coles, shares with SW on her call to ministry.

SW: Share with us about your ministry:
Lion of the Tribe of Judah Ministry, is an outreach ministry focused on healing, delivering, and restoration located in Jacksonville Florida. We spend much time dealing with individuals who deal with what many call “church hurt”. A lot of our time is spent restoring and repairing the breaches within God’s people.
SW: What are some of the common mind-sets dealt with in “Church Hurt” persons?
First we educate individuals that there are spiritual forces working behind the scenes of both the person who was hurt and the person doing the hurting. The mind-set that needs to go forth is that the Church is Christ, so we must know that Christ didn’t hurt you, but there are spirts working behind the scenes and depending where both people are in their walk in Christ, determines their experience, their level of maturity and the outcome of those experiences.
SW: What were some of the challenges you faced establishing your ministry? Attacks came to me and my family from those who were not ready for that level of warfare. Our enemy is a spiritual being and we need to know how the spirit realm works, and people have taught people that warfare is an eerie thing and so people evade learning about warfare and avoid much needed knowledge in that area. Many people still don’t believe in spiritual warfare, so when you walk in an apostolic-prophetic ministry the enemy comes to attack those who walk close to your ministry so the first thing you need to do is to warn them about the devices of the enemy. So your loved ones and those who walk around you need insight concerning the spirit realm, because they are the ones who the enemy retaliates against. Doors of sin need to be closed, there needs to be righteous living and teaching about having unnecessary open doors in your life.
I also had to go through the persecution of people not thinking I was crazy. Jesus cast out demons and he said that even greater works shall you do! I had to continuously teach on how Jesus dealt with the spirits. No matter how much one may want to ignore or act like it does not exist, the spirit realm is real and some of us are just called into deliverance ministry. One of my greatest struggles was trying to communicate to people that uI am not trying to scare you, I’m trying to bring you into reality, it just is, what it is. We are to walk by the spirt to reap the benefit of the spirit.
So the church has told people that it doesn’t take all that and that’s too deep, but Jesus dealt with the demonic. If we are really following Christ then how can we bypass the warfare? This is the very reason the church is looking weak and powerless today. We have so much power, the same power that raised Jesus from the dead and all you have to do is begin to use that power. He said if you believe and I chose to believe that God could do everything but fail. I do the possible and He does the impossible!
SW: On dealing with the waiting periods? That is a great time. Whenever you have done all that God has told you to do, and you are just in waiting, that is the time to just begin focusing on God and start loving on Him. We are on the plane, we are up in the air, and the pilot comes on and says we can’t land just yet, because there is to much traffic and disturbance on the ground, so we are in a holding pattern, just circling around. We’ve boarded the plane and have arrived at the destination, but we just have to wait for somethings below to clear out and this is where some people get frustrated and want to turn around and go back because we’ve lost patience. Patience is a virtue, and we’ve got to have it because while you are waiting you are being established, the bible says “But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint”. You’ve got to keep living and wait for the next set of instructions on your life, and some people do nothing, but you’ve got to live right through it. The waiting period shows who you really are!

  1. Great – I should certainly pronounce, impressed with your site. I had no trouble navigating through all tabs as well as related information ended up being truly simple to do to access. I recently found what I hoped for before you know it at all. Quite unusual. Is likely to appreciate it for those who add forums or anything, site theme . a tones way for your customer to communicate. Nice task.

  3. This design is incredible! You obviously know how to keep a reader amused. Between your wit and your videos, I was almost moved to start my own blog (well, almost…HaHa!) Fantastic job. I really enjoyed what you had to say, and more than that, how you presented it. Too cool!

  4. Thank you a lot for giving everyone an extremely brilliant possiblity to read from this web site. It’s always so sweet and packed with fun for me personally and my office acquaintances to search your web site no less than three times a week to learn the latest items you have. Of course, I am also actually fascinated considering the superb tricks you serve. Certain 2 areas in this post are rather the most effective we have had.

  5. Very good written information. It will be beneficial to anyone who employess it, as well as myself. Keep up the good work – i will definitely read more posts.
