Pastor Deborah Kemp: Deborah’s Corner of Tony Kemp Ministries.

One of my deepest desires is to partner with women from all walks of life.

In addition, I especially want to minister to pastors wives. I want to help them to fully realize all of their dreams to help them reach their full potential. God has designed women with purpose and intent, my ministry is fully committed to helping women fulfill God’s calling and Ministry in their lives.

Over the years I find that there are very specific issues that hold women back from achieving their true potential. There are a few things that I believe keep women trapped in hurt and pain; comparing themselves with others, the fear of failure, and their inability to achieve their goals and reach satisfaction. Often women seek the approval of others before they’re willing to step out into their God-given destiny; which would allow them to accomplish what they are called to do. Women must not allow personal obstacles to get in the way of fulfilling the calling upon their lives. We all have things that we need to work on in our lives. I encourage woman to move forward despite whatever challenges they may face. As they move forward, a healing process begins in their hearts. It may take some time, but in due season they will reap a mighty harvest from the Lord.

I realized by the grace of God, that if I lived by others approval I would also die by their criticisms.

The Spirit of God has taught me because my heavenly Father has loved me, I must love myself regardless of what others may think of me. I now realize I don’t have to be like others. I must accept myself as I am and see my own personal beauty. While putting my faith in God and having confidence in myself I can see my dreams come true. By embracing who He created me to be, it has caused me to grow closer to God and love Him even more.

I remind myself that the dignity, honor, and glory that originates from God himself. As I honor myself and love the person God has made me to be; I am better able to honor, love and give service to others.

I know all too well what it’s like to face personal challenges. At the age of 21 I was unmarried and had no children. I was diagnosed with stage three cervical cancer. In addition, I was told I had crippling rheumatoid arthritis, the doctor said, “I had it all over my body and it was as if I was 50 or 60 years old.” It was an extremely difficult time for me, in the blink of an eye I lost my job, my apartment and my independence. I was forced to move from St. Louis back to my childhood home in Quincy, Illinois to stay with my parents. I also had to face the very real fear of a serious sickness, a disease with the possibility of premature death. If that were not enough I also had to face the grief of losing my father one week after being diagnosed. All I could do was lie on the couch and read the Word of God. My mother took me to meetings where the presence and power of God were being manifested. I learned so much about God in those meetings but there were a few things that stood out and radically changed my life. The first is in Proverbs 4:20 the scripture says, “My son pay attention to what I say turn your ears to my word.” Another scripture that was equally important to me, “Humble yourself before the Lord,” John 4:10. During this period of time I was unable to take care of myself and my mother had to completely take care of me. I was in constant pain; I couldn’t even walk up steps by myself, yet I still read the Bible and actively sought God. I believed and still do that God’s Word is medicine and healing to the body. It is extremely important to remember to listen so we can hear what God has to say us. We must keep God’s Word before our eyes and finally let God’s Word penetrate into our heart and being. Then God’s Word becomes life’s daily medicine and better than a vitamin tablet.

One day Jesus asked me a question, “Do you want to be well?” And then suddenly I had a vision of myself being healed and well. In order to do that I had to get rid of the root causes to receive the healing.

The Lord gave me a vision and I saw myself as a child. As a child when I witnessed the way people mistreated my parents who were both pastors it caused a seed to be planted in my heart. That seed became a root of bitterness, hurt, and offense. The Lord Jesus revealed to me that this was the cause of my illness and that I had to get rid of it to be cured. I said, “Yes to God Almighty, ” as I began praying I let go of all the bitterness and offense and chose to forgive others, I was then in a position to receive healing from God. I was prayed for at a prayer meeting and the power of God removed rheumatoid arthritis and cancer away!!!! I have been healed of those two diseases for over 38 years. When you let go of bitterness, hurt, offense and forgive others, as well as yourself, God will cause the impossible to become possible!!!

If you are seeking healing in your body and/or soul I would encourage you to read the Bible absorb the healing power within its pages, and get the Word of God in you. Deuteronomy 4:29 tells us, “… if we seek God with all our hearts He will be found.” Finally, listen when the Holy Spirit speaks and remember God loves you and he wants to heal you completely!
